Every homeschool parent needs a little boost occasionally! This homeschool life is an awesome adventure, but it can also have its frustrating days. One thing I have found to be a big boost to my days is to have quotes on homeschooling and education handy for inspiration. A little blurb here and there can be a big pick-me-up when I’m trying not to go to sleep on another read through of a BOB book!
This year, I’ll be featuring a quote that is speaking to my soul as a homeschool mom every month as part of the iHomeschool Network’s Homeschool Mother’s Journal.
January’s quote is by Clay P. Bedford:
This quote resonates with me because it is one of the principle reasons we chose to homeschool. I’ve seen so many children lose their love of learning and innate curiosity because of the distractions and constraints surrounding them due to our modern way of life. We make it a priority to encourage exploration and creativity in our school and in our lives. I want them to remain curious, and want to continue learning once they are done with their assignments and diplomas/degrees. I see it as my job now to plant the seeds of curiosity through every lesson that we learn together.
