Summer of the Woods
This book is the first in a series about two boys who live in Virginia. There are six books in the series at this time. The books are both mystery and history.
The following three books are all written by Carole Marsh. We love her books in our home, but with a caveat. In each story, the children always end up dealing with a mystery and trying to handle things on their own. We have had to discuss the characters’ decision making skills many times during our reading of these stories. The conversations have been good for us, and I do not regret spending the time on reading the books with my children.
